Truth Revealed Celebrates IWD 2025: women, sport and changemaking

BUT did you also know that over 90% of those women leaders have a background in sport.

To celebrate the day and to share some of our experiences and thinking we have made a special edition of Truth Revealed. We spoke to our Truth Consulting MD Dr Matilda Andersson and our partner Ashoka UK ’s director Kelly Davies .
It just so happens that one of them was the Swedish national junior diving campion (10m platform) and the other is a former pro-footballer who captained most teams she’s played for.
We were inspired to make the podcast by two sisters from Grangetown in Cardiff who through sheer enthusiasm for the sport and a lot of determination became the first Hijabi referees in Wales. They were supported by Kelly’s organisation Sport for Changemaking in their mission to get ‘On the pitch, on their terms’.
